New Shows You Should Check Out

1. Torchwood- We already know of my love for this show

2. Pushing Daisies- So far we've just seen the pilot, but if the pedigree it comes from is any indication (Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls), this show will continue to by witty and engaging until it is cancelled far too soon

3. Bionic Woman- I was skeptical but this turns out to be a nice Alias clone with a Battlestar Galactica sensiblity, plus Katee Sackhoff guest stars so that should be reason enough to tune in.

4.Big Bang Theory- A hilarious 30 minute sitcom, like a good appetizer before Heroes ruins the night.

5. Dirty Sexy Money- I've only caught the pilot, the second episode is DVR'd so I'm putting this one up with some blind faith. Basically Brothers & Sisters with far more dysfunction and far less familial love. Still, as far as night time soaps go, you could do worse

See the picture, look at it closely. What's missing from that picture. Think hard. Could it be..... Robots!

I loved the Transformers, I loved the blowing shit up, hell I could even tolerate the way too hot to be a nerd girl, but what I couldn't stand were these two! If i wanted to watch pretty people spouting inane dialogue I'd watch Gossip Girl. My entire experience with the movie was ruined by stupid people taking up valuable robot screen time. God forbid we see a movie without soldiers wanting to go home and visit their kids. Unless a Decepticon crushed the kids, I don't give a rat's ass! So sign me up for the sequel, but only if they replace the human characters with beast machines!

Finally a Final Fantasy port that people are actually waiting for! If you have a PSP pick this game up. If you need a reason to buy a PSP this is it. With a new translation that fixes the typo-filled dialogue of the original, this version will please strategy fans as well as those Final Fantasy fans who might have missed this during its orignal release. Keep an eye out for FFVII favorite Cloud who makes a welcome appearance as a hidden character.

What I liked:

-Claire's new boyfriend actually told her he could fly

-Ali Larter is finally back

What I didn't like:

-Peter "Stroke-Face" Petrelli's Irish adventure is growing really tiresome, really fast.

-How many people actually know what Horn Rimmed Glasses are, and then use them as a main characteristic when talking about someone?

-I hope Ali Larter got paid for for being in the episode for 24 seconds

-We all know Hiro is going to be the Japanese hero of stories, so just let David Anders go

-Any scene with Sylar and the illusion girl who should have remained dead when Missy Peregrym left to do Reaper

Random Thought: How many more times will the Wonder Twins get themselves caught?

Overall: All I can say is that if Kristen Bell wasn't showing up in 2 weeks, I'd be removing this show from my DVR list

Is the Latest PS3 SKU Enough?

First it was $600, then we get one for $500, now it seems a 40gig PS3 model is coming for a retail price of $399. The question is, do we care? Lagging behind in sales since its launch, the PS3 has been fighting the 360's comparable power and price while also in the midst of the Wii-volution that seems to be overtaking both systems. So now gamers can choose from 3 models of PS3, but who cares? You can release 8 models and drop the price further, but with no desirable software, the console is going to struggle. Next year's release of Metal Gear Solid 4 is a bright spot in the PS3's future with Killzone 2 and Final Fantasy XIII also scheduled for release. But is PS3 going the way of Nintendo, with marquee titles once or twice a quarter and the rest ports of games already released on other consoles? This gamer has a 360 and a Wii and will be picking up a PS3 when MGS hits, but do most gamers really want or need to invest in all 3 consoles?
